A mold inspection is where every job starts, whether you called us about a smell, a stain, or just a gut feeling something's off. We walk the property in Burke, NY, check crawl spaces, attics, bathrooms, and anywhere moisture tends to sit, and look for both visible growth and the conditions that let it happen in the first place.
Most people call us for one of a few reasons – a musty smell that won't go away no matter how much they clean, a water stain on a ceiling or wall that keeps coming back, someone in the house dealing with allergy or respiratory symptoms that don't make sense otherwise, or they're buying or selling a home and need documentation before closing.
We start with a visual walkthrough, then move to a moisture meter to check humidity levels in walls, subfloor, and crawl space framing. If we see active growth or the visual isn't conclusive, we'll recommend air or surface sampling sent to a lab for confirmation. We're not going to sell you a sampling kit you don't need – if it's obvious mold and obvious cause, we'll tell you straight and move to a treatment plan instead of running up the bill.
Inspection cost depends on the size of the property and how many areas need checking – a single crawl space is a quick job, a full-house inspection with lab sampling takes longer and costs more. We'll give you a number before we start, not after.
If something in your Burke, NY home doesn't smell or feel right, get it checked before it turns into a bigger repair. Call (213) 871-1085 and we'll get you scheduled.
